Following College B.A.S.S. and FLW College Fishing, the Association of College Anglers has announced the dates of their signature tournaments for next year. Following a change in sponsorship, the three events are now known as the Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series.
They are:
Cabela’s Collegiate Big Bass Bash – March 21-23, Table Rock Lake, Branson, Missouri
Collegiate Bass Fishing Open – April 18-20, Kentucky Lake, Paris, Tennessee
BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship – May 23-35, Pickwick Lake, Florence, Alabama

It’s great that there is so much support for college anglers, but I think it’s getting pretty diluted. I guess, just like the pro circuits, it would be nice if there was just one organization that did such a great job that there was only a need for one. Maybe one day…
I think the diversity is healthy. There are also a ton of regional events put on by the different schools, and I’m going to try and do a much better job of covering those next season.
